Types Of Poetry (7)

Elegy: A poem to mourn of someone who passed away, it can be an animal.

Example: Where are you Mom, where did you go

You have gone to a place I do not know

Your new world does not include me

It’s rather cloudy, from what I see

You sit there in your chair

With such a vacant empty stare

I wish I could bring back the better times

Significance: This type of poetry is written in elegiac meter and to use when we are sad of someone who's close to us has died.
